Begum Bazar traders to boycott Chinese goods

Several merchants and shop owners in Hyderabad’s Begum Bazar have decided to boycott Chinese goods following the violent standoff between India and china Ladakh’s Galwan valley.
Begum Bazar is one of the biggest commercial markets in Hyderabad. Located in Afzalgunj, the Begam Bazar has at least 750 shops and is famous for affordable household commodities. Businessmen from other states come here for wholesale deals.
The association has changed the timings of Begum Bazar in the wake of COVID-19. The shops in the market now would be opened from 9 am to 5 pm every day from 19th June. earlier the market was open from 9 am to 8 pm. The decision was taken as the market was getting crowded during evening time and it was also getting difficult for merchants to maintain physical distance.
