A study has revealed that people who eat fresh cashew nuts daily increase their romantic interest.
Fourteen weeks of research has shown that cashew nuts and other nuts can improve eroticism, as well as emotional well-being.
Cashew nuts are nutritionally much the same as other nuts: they are high in fat (around 50 per cent), rich in vitamin E and a good source of minerals, particularly magnesium and zinc. While high in fat, all nuts are ranked highly for their healthy unsaturated fats.
Almonds and cashews both contain heart-healthy unsaturated fats, but almonds have a better fat profile. Cashews provide more vitamin K and zinc, but almonds make a better choice for fibres, vitamin E and calcium.
Cashew nuts are good sources of these fibres. Dietary fibres help digest food better, however, excessive consumption may cause bloating and significant intestinal gas production. Consumption of nuts like cashews has been related to decreased incidences of several digestive diseases.

Cashews contain high levels of lutein and zeaxanthin, which act as antioxidants. When consumed daily, these antioxidant compounds can protect the eyes from the type of damage that can lead to blindness as we get older. They can also help decrease the risk of cataracts.
