Coronavirus Outbreak: 21-districts of Telangana to be corona free
Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao said that the decrease in the spread of Coronavirus in the state is an auspicious sign and opined that there were clear indications that Telangana State would become Corona free State in a few days to come. He said it was a good development that 97 per cent of the Corona patients are getting discharged after recovery. The CM also declared that since there is a decrease in Coronavirus spread and its impact, there would be a gradual reduction of the Containment Centres in the State. He also said that the link between those who went to Markaz and those who came in contact with them was established and testes are being conducted on them. There was no need for people to get worry about anything. For the past few days, if the trend in the state is observed, the virus spread has been on the decline. He said that the Medical and health department was ready to identify the positive cases if they come up in the days to come and take the necessary follow up action.
The CM held a high-level review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan here on Monday after his videoconference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Medical and Health Minister Sri Eatala Rajender, Home Minister Sri Mohammed Ali, TRS Parliamentary Party leader Dr K Keshav Rao, Government’s Chief Advisor Sri Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, DGP Sri Mahender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Ms Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary Sri Narsing Rao, GHMC Commissioner Sri Lokesh Kumar, Former Speaker Sri Madhusudhan Chary and others participated.
The health officials said that the positive COVID-19 cases are slowly decreasing. On Monday only two persons tested positive of the 159 patients. 16 patients have been discharged after undergoing treatment. As on Monday, there are 1,003 positive cases were registered in the state in which 332 were discharged after the recovery. 646 patients were currently undergoing the treatment
The Chief Minister said that no positive cases were reported from 10 districts Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Narayanpet, Warangal Rural, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir and Manchiryal. Similarly, another 11 districts Jagitial, Janajaon, Peddapalli, Sangareddy, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar and Nalgonda would be COVID-19 free by Tuesday. The maximum number of positive cases were registered in the districts of Hyderabad, Suryapet, Jogulamba, Gadwal and Vikarabad.
