- Ram temple in Ayodhya will be built within 4 months: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah on Monday made a big announcement. While addressing a public rally at Pakur in Jharkhand, Shah declared that the Ram Temple will be constructed in Ayodhya in four months.
While addressing a rally in Pakur, Jharkhand, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Supreme Court has given its verdict. Now within 4 months, a sky-high temple of Lord Ram will be built in Ayodhya.”
On November 9, the Supreme Court had cleared the way for a temple to be built at the disputed plot of land in Ayodhya where the Babri Masjid stood before its demolition, and which Hindus consider to be the birthplace of Lord Ram.
The Home Minister’s comment comes as the country is on the boil with several protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Registry of Citizens (NRC).
The Prime Minister tweeted appealing to people to accept the Citizenship Amendment Act, saying that they need to keep calm as it does not attack any religious community. He also said that debate was acceptable but not the destruction of public property, which many allege that was the work of the Delhi police
